General controls agent identity and sound. Except for the internal name, changes belong to the draft and require publishing.

Select languages

Open Speaking language and switch between single and multiple selection. In multiple selection, the counter shows n/5; you cannot remove the final selected language. The first language is primary and is used by prompt generation. Returning to single selection keeps only that primary language. Multilingual (Spanish + English) replaces other selections. Use only languages relevant to your contacts and test recognition with representative audio. Language labels include regional variants, such as Latin American and Spain Spanish, US and UK English, and Brazilian and European Portuguese.

Choose a voice

Select Change voice. Search by name and filter by gender or accent. Playback provides a recorded sample; selecting a row applies that voice to the draft. A sample does not include your advanced speed and volume settings: test a call to hear the final behavior. Voice speed, expressiveness, volume, background volume, and fallback voices are in Advanced. With background sound enabled, General links to its volume control.

Keep identity consistent

Use an internal name describing the job, such as “Reception · appointments”, and a short in-call name. Check that the prompt’s introduction agrees with the in-call name. Choose the time zone relevant to the people the agent serves, then check calendar-tool time zones separately.
