Contact tags classify CRM records. Use them to filter searches and select groups of contacts. Tags are managed per organization.

Create and apply

  1. Open Settings → Contact Management → Contact Tags.
  2. Create a tag with a recognizable name and color.
  3. Return to Contacts and apply it through the contact’s tag cell.
  4. For multiple contacts, select rows and use the add or remove tag actions.
Creating, editing and deleting require their respective tag permissions. Editing contacts also depends on your CRM access.

Three tag types

Using the same name in two catalogs does not synchronize tags. A text agent’s Tag conversation tool uses inbox tags.

Filter and process lists

Filter Contacts by tags and check your selection before starting a bulk action. Operations on many contacts can appear as background jobs. Wait for the result before repeating them.

Remove a tag

Removing a tag from one contact and deleting it from the catalog are different actions. To reclassify one person, remove that contact association. Before deleting a catalog tag, review rules and integrations that use it.
